Make an Impact Today!Takira is an energetic first grade student at William H. Brown STEM Magnet School who recently was reading at a middle 1st grade level. With the help of her teacher and our staff at JRJF, Takira worked with determined diligence on sight words, short and long vowels, and reading out loud through our Virtual Read with Me! (RWM) sessions. Her official post-assessment revealed that she was able to raise her reading skills one whole grade level as a result of her hard work. Takira, like all of us, is beyond excited at her success. We work with students from a very young age to make literacy a top priority.
Funds will be used to educate and empower students like Takira as well as students who participate in our A-Team Scholars, Vision for Families, and S.T.E.A.M. programs. |

This Fall, due to Covid-19 it is not possible for us to gather in-person as usual for the annual “Bags for Kids” Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser. We can however, come together and continue providing the important programming to students like Takira who are working so hard on their educational goals. It is amazing what can be done to positively impact the lives of students and families when people come together as a team on one accord. That is why on November 12, 2020 we will be hosting an Online “Bags for Kids” Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser and we are asking you to join us. You can empower students and families while watching great competition, a special message from Founder and President Mrs. Deloris Jordan, and hear from JRJF scholars all from the comfort of your home. Your sponsorships and donations will keep our students and families in much needed programs like Read with Me!, ST.E.A.M., A-Team Scholars and Vision for Families.

Take a Look at Last Year's Event!The highlight of this fundraising event is a cornhole tournament in which teams go head- to-head to win the championship title, all the bragging rights, a set of cornhole boards for each winner, and a customized plaque mounted at Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse – Chicago is awarded to the winning team. The Corporate Team Challenge offers an opportunity for team-building and morale boosting.
