On Monday, November 22nd, the James R. Jordan Foundation partnered with Jordan Community Elementary School to hand out 200 take-home Thanksgiving Dinners for low-income families. Learn more about the event, see who contributed, and view more photos below:
A Full Belly Thanksgiving
Each dinner included a 15 pound frozen turkey, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn muffin mix, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, and a heavy-duty reusable grocery bag. During the event, the school also handed out books for students that were donated by Bernie’s Book Bank.
This event combined support from our major partners with our community, by using both an online food drive and partnerships to source food for the event. We were able to give extra cans to families by going beyond our goal for donations. We couldn't have done this without you!
